Snuggletown Meeting:  7/27/04 at Bob's house

Yard Sale this week!  Angel's house Thursday night, Sat, and Sun.(if 
needed)

Angel reviewed last meetings notes/agenda.

Discussed but not resolved:
What does the $100 cover?
What will be our travel dates?

We talked about the Heaven & Hell party.  A fabulous job, we learned a 
lot, and still made about $500.

We now have a bus thanks to Bob & Sam.  It is in their driveway.  Bob's 
intention is to license it with vanity tags if possible to read SNGLTN. 
  He wants to only insure it for the trip to BM so all work on it must 
take place at his house.  Improvements to the bus before BM that were 
discussed:  taking out seats, roof rack, painting it.  Ten of us can 
ride in the bus but without seat belts.

Structures:  We now have a dome!  A group of us met this past Sunday 
and had a great time while working a long day.  The first dome was 
completed thanks to everyone pitching in.  Great job!

There was a bit of frustration expressed over how much work is left to 
do.  We have 5 weeks and 4 weekends in which to do it and mostly the 
same core group doing the work.  We want to involve more of the 
Snuggletown folks in this pre-BM work.

Work on the arch has been started and it will be completed with a few 
modifications.  Bob is continuing work on this and expects it to be 
finished shortly.

We talked over the need to keep a balance between work, fun, and 
fairness to all.  Sam suggested we prioritize what is left to be done 
and we ultimately broke down everything to needs and wants.

Bob suggested we focus more on bringing in new people to our group so 
the work load could be better shared, also getting those who are signed 
up involved more.

Sam & Bob as Volunteer Coordinators will call those on the list to see 
if we can involve them more with our pre-BM work.

Elana and Maralena will help with the yard sale on Thursday night.

Arthur needs an updated list of donations.

Edie is on Recruiting Committee.  New names of interested folks should 
go through the process and to Angel who will call them, interview them, 
etc.  They will then go to Sam & Bob who will try to get them involved.

Ellie wants to lead a newbee class and also get tips posted on our 
website.  BM also has a comprehensive list of suggestions for newbees.

Needs (with times to complete):
  Bus seat removal (3 hours with 3-4 people), shade structure (3 hours), 
garage sale, loading/staging/transportation, kitchen buying (3 days 
with 3-4 people plus 1 day planning session), chore list for the playa, 
finance collection, unloading.

Wants:
decorating, second dome, roof rack on bus, painting the bus, 
orientation of new members, gifts

Ellie will bring needed tools to help take out bus seats.  Sam needs 
help for Saturday yard sale.  Jhiro will help on Saturday morning, 
Ellie will be there Sat. afternoon.

Yard Sale at Angel's house:  4929 NE 14th Place.  (near the Tin Shed on 
Alberta)

We'll soon set times for other work parties.  Sam & Bob will call folks 
from the list (to be provided to us) to get more help on everything.

In next two day(by Thursday) give Sam & Bob list of who to call and 
when we'll need help.  Needed work activities and resources needed by 
Thursday to Sam.  Focus on needs only at this point.

Glen reported that we have the use of any of four free generators.  We 
just need to figure out our needs on this.

Arthur reported that we made $500 on the party.  We have $2613.53 in 
the bank and are looking at $3740 in total expenditures.  However, it 
was noted that this did not include such things as water although it 
did include the tank in which to hold the water.  Our food budget is 
also fairly low although we are getting lots of free veggies from Edie 
and Brian.

Tzara will send out a survey on travel plans in the next few days.

Thanks Angel, for the uplifting words at the end.  This is just the 
beginning of a wonderful adventure.  Let's enjoy each moment of it and
