SNUGGLETOWN! MEETING MINUTES June 10, 2004 Attendees: Sam Tzara Bob Ellie Aaron Arthur Brian Edie Glen Marcia Jerry Agenda Items: Art brainstorming Head Count Criteria for joining Snuggletown! Structures Application Notebook Committees Truck Notebook: Sam suggested we create a notebook for all of our info so it's in one place, like a corporate minutes book with past minutes and other pertinent stuff. She will provide the binder. Art Space and other creative ideas: Tzara suggested we find a fish eye lens to use on the projector as it would project further down on the dome sides. Tzara has astronomy software we could use to project stars, planets etc. He will talk more with Glen about how they can add music and put on a DVD. Head Count: We need to start a list of confirmed campers and begin collecting money right away. We need a promotional piece written to inspire others to join our camp. Outreach committee needs to meet on this soon (Charisse, Marcia, Edie & Ellie). Everyone needs to reach out to their networks with emails of the promotional piece. Need a point of contact to refer interested campers to. Criteria for Joining Snuggle Town: Someone in the core Snuggletown! group must know the prospective member and the person must be coming from a place of giving and loving. Make sure they vibe to the ST Mission statement (see end of the minutes). Application Update: Theme camps can arrive on playa Friday 12:01 am (actually Saturday 28th). Ellie read the Interactivity Description she wrote for the application. Sounds great! Some editing suggestions were agreed to. Tzara will post some text on the website to give people a few days to look at it before being sent. Glen suggested we need to beef up the description of art space and activities related to it so we get better camp placement. He will draft something for Tzara. Committees: Below is a list of committees and a contact person who is responsible for recruiting others to meet ASAP (within 10 days). Contact person will bring their ideas/decisions back to the next core group meeting on June 22nd. Note, we have 11 weeks until we are on the road. Everyone needs to be on the lookout for a truck, bus or trailer to haul most of the stuff. Renting a 25' truck will cost nearly $2,000. We could buy a bus for that and then resell it (or take Snuggle Town on the road!) Jerry Jurdan (new member) will check pricing of buses near Tacoma. Aaron mentioned a new person who wants to join. Also Christine Van Coughnett and Bob McCulloch intend to join us.
